Each patient is assessed and treated in their home for the duration of their treatment. No need for clinic visits.
In some cases, a patient or another provider may wish to have a second opinion or consult prior to beginning care. We will be happy to provide these services
if a patient lives outside of our service area, but in the state of Florida, we can see the patient virtually and advise the home health on which treatments will be most appropriate. We also utilize this resource if a patient has an urgent need that the provider has to address in between the scheduled home visits.
We fax a report which includes the orders for care every visit to the patient’s home care company. There is no need for the patient to worry that frequent communication regarding their care is not taking place effectively and efficiently.
We have networked with the most efficient home service diagnostics companies in the area to ensure that the patient is not sacrificing efficient and quality care by choosing to be treated in their home.
Each week, in most cases, we will visit the patient, assess the wound, ensure that sufficient progress is being made, perform any treatments or procedures that are indicated and send a report to the patient’s nurse to facilitate good coordination of care. Weekly visits by the provider are the standard of care for hard to heal wounds.
